Our workshops and design studio are based near Exeter, on the edge of Dartmoor in Devon. We have a small but very qualified team of cabinet makers, finishers and designers, along with an apprentice system that enables us to undertake a wide variety of projects, whilst maintaining a very high level of quality control.

We work primarily in wood, designing and making everything from single pieces of furniture through to complete interiors, as well as exterior projects and specialist joinery. 

In our fully equipped workshops we have a full range of machining facilities along with numerous specialist capabilities including decorative veneering, laminating for the creation of curved work and inlay work. We can also undertake turned work and upholstery.

We are equally conversant with the design and manufacture of both contemporary and traditional furniture.
We hold a stock of seasoned timbers including oak, cherry, walnut, maple, and beech. Along with these we use a number of local timber yards to source other timbers to customer’s specific requirements, these have recently included Devon oak, green oak, pear, teak and mahogany. Hand finishes available include painting, either plain or distressed, French polishing, staining, oiling and waxing. Spray finishes are available in all paints and lacquers.

The majority of our projects are for private houses, though we have also undertaken many commercial commissions. The private projects have been both built-in and freestanding; examples of the built-in being private libraries, kitchens, home offices, bedroom furniture, television cabinets and bookcases.

Freestanding work has included desks and chairs, bedside tables, dining tables, computer desks, ottomans, writing desk, mirrors, coffee tables, settles, screens, etc.

Commercial commissions have included suites of furniture for both offices and hotels.

Exterior pieces have included oak framed summerhouses, oak framed conservatories, stable and turret clocks, benches and bespoke garden furniture.

We are primarily furniture makers and fine cabinet makers, rather than joinery manufacturers, although we do undertake bespoke architectural joinery.

We offer a truly bespoke service, whereby each commission is individually designed and manufactured. From initial sketches to full working drawings we liaise with the client, ensuring their requirements are met in terms of both function and aesthetics. Great attention to detail is allied with many years of combined experience in both traditional and modern woodworking techniques. This enables us to produce work of the very highest standard.
